It starts during our initial meetings when we dig into what you’re looking to do and provide a detailed design plan a few days later.
Then, after you sign a contract and get your allowances/selection sheets, your vision begins coming into focus.
During construction, day by day, you see it being built right before your eyes.

How We Help You Make Selections

By Replacing “Options Overload” With Expert Guidance

At Executive Remodeling, we don’t try to force you to choose this or that product or material. When it comes time for you to make selections, it’s completely up to you. That said, we also aren’t going to let you get derailed by this freedom that often leads to options overload.

You’re going to get tons of seasoned professional insight, suggestions, recommendations, and guidance during the design phase when all the selections must be made. Let’s use Kitchen Remodeling as an example and this image from our Kitchen Remodeling Gallery for a visual.

When all’s said and done, each selection is kept within budget via allowances.
We’ll suggest different sources for things like tile, flooring, countertops, etc.
Our designer can set aside time for extra help and guidance as needed.
We’ll schedule visits with the different trades involved, who’ll share their expertise.
You’ll meet with our custom kitchen cabinet maker to discuss layout, wood & door styles.
Everything is systematized, and we go step by step, selection by selection.

Once selections are done, and every detail is attended to – along with any changes made during the selection process – the timeline leading up to the construction phase kicks off. From here, we keep you informed and up to date as things progress, as orders come in (for example, cabinets), and so forth. We WON’T leave you in the dark waiting for the big day to arrive.

While this is a short & sweet explanation of the design phase, it should give you an idea of how it’ll progress. What’s important is you understand we specialize in remodeling ideas, making them realistically doable, and then building them with impeccable craftsmanship.

If you aren’t sure about something or need professional recommendations, we’ll be there to give you options, options, and more options and ensure you understand them and how they’ll fit into your new space overall.

How Will You Make My Goals The Priority?

Your goals are priority from Day One. We don’t attempt to steer or influence the goals of the homeowners who work with us in any way. Instead, we work to make them a reality. From your first call or email to our office to our initial consultations and detailed plan/estimate, everything is centered on doing outstanding work and providing you with a pleasant, personalized experience.

What If I Don’t Like Your Initial Design Or Plan?

While this is extremely rare if it happens, we simply LISTEN carefully to your concerns and then do our best to incorporate and accommodate them – as long as it’s within coding restrictions. Folks don’t turn down our designs because they’re completely based around their preferences, styles, and choices. It’s usually more about accommodating city laws, especially when you’re talking about Home Additions or Whole-House Remodeling.

Will You Give Suggestions On Space Optimization?

Of course. Our team has extensive experience in residential construction. Just let us know what your goals are (ex: “I want to utilize my finished/unfinished basement…for more space!”), and we’ll go through all the options and considerations for each until we find a workable solution.

Will You Use Cost-Saving Measures Along The Way?

We don’t try to boost or shrink costs unless we’re asked about specific things. For example, let’s say you’re unsure what countertop materials to choose. We’ve given you the full range of options and an allowance to stay within budget, but if you want to know how to get the most value for less, that’s fine. We’ll share our insight into materials and benefits and then help you make the final choice. While we help manage costs, they’re ultimately your decision. If you want something more expensive, we can do that. Alternatively, if you want something less expensive that doesn’t risk the quality of our workmanship, we can accommodate that as well.

1. This was our first big renovation. We weren't prepared for some of the decisions we needed to make before the project started. 2. Guidelines for what was expected of us before the project began wasn't clear, such as selection of: backsplash, lighting , tiles etc. 3.
